Rizzo’s Wildlife World
An inherited Elementor Pro site with a broken carousel, frozen updates and form entries going nowhere. Stabilized on a local copy first, then fixed for a flat fee.

The situation
Rizzo’s Wildlife World runs on Elementor Pro and the Hello Elementor theme. The visible problem was a broken testimonial carousel: giant arrows and slides stacked on top of each other. The real problems were underneath.
- Elementor Pro was unlicensed and stuck on 3.21.3 while Elementor itself was on 3.29.2. That mismatch is what broke the carousel.
- A “Disable All WordPress Updates” plugin had frozen WordPress core at 6.5.4.
- Elementor Submissions was not activated, so form entries were never stored.
- The business name appeared three different ways across the site.
What I did
I agreed on a flat-fee fix list with the owner, credited toward a future rebuild, and did the risky work on a local copy before anything touched production.
- Updated WordPress core, Elementor and Yoast on the local copy and removed unused default themes.
- Patched the carousel’s style conflicts with targeted CSS, and documented that the lasting fix is licensing Elementor Pro.
- Flagged the form storage gap and the update blocker to the owner.
- Standardized the business name everywhere as Rizzo’s Wildlife World.
